Water rates and studies

Santa Ana is committed to delivering safe, high-quality water at the most reasonable cost. To ensure fairness and long-term financial sustainability, the City conducts formal rate studies and adjusts charges based on system needs, infrastructure investments, and changes in wholesale water supply costs.

In 2019, the City completed a comprehensive Water, Recycled Water, and Sewer Rate Study, which established a multi-year financial plan and authorized the use of pass-through adjustments to respond to increases in wholesale water costs.
