Santa Ana Juneteenth Picnic

The 2024 Juneteenth celebration in Santa Ana will bring an exciting picnic atmosphere with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, delicious food vendors, and more! The Juneteenth holiday commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States, and celebrates freedom for all worldwide.

Families and friends are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs as the community comes together to foster connections, play games and enjoy live performances by DJ A-One and Bruno and the Hooligans.

In an effort to allow community-based organizations, professional event producers or non-profit organizations to directly operate this significant cultural event in 2024, the City published an open competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) in November of 2023. A formal review process was conducted and Soundskilz, a national event marketing and entertainment agency based out of Temecula, CA, received the highest score of all applicants. The City of Santa Ana awarded Soundskilz to organize the free community event.
