Free lifeguard training by provided by the American Red Cross.

The purpose of this FREE American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level knowledge and skills to participants on how to prevent, recognize and respond to water related and land emergencies. Lifeguard participants will also be trained to respond and provide care to individuals in medical emergencies within the American Red Cross Lifeguard guidelines. Please note: All participants will need to pass in-water prerequisites on first day of class in order to remain in the course. 

Participants are required to:

  • Attend all course dates consecutively
  • Successfully pass a written exam
  • Successfully pass an in-water skills exam with an 80% or higher in order to successfully obtain a certification in lifeguarding

This program will be held at the Jerome Pool during the following times and dates:

  • March 22 - 24
  • April 5 - 7
  • April 26 - 28
  • May 3 - 5
  • Fridays: 4:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00am - 9:00pm
  • Sundays: 9:00am - 9:00pm
