Emerging Lifeguard Leaders (E.L.L)
Participants of all skills levels are invited to take part in this FREE lifeguard readiness program designed to train and prepare candidates for a Lifeguard certification course. To sign-up click the link below or register the day of the program on site. The City of Santa Ana Aquatics team understands the importance of giving participants the skills and confidence to take the next step in becoming a City of Santa Ana lifeguard.
Program Skills Taught
- Basic water safety (treading, front crawl, floating on front & back.)
- Rescue skills
- Swim stroke refinement (front crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, back stroke.)
- 10-pound brick tow
- Diving in deep end
- American Red Cross Lifeguard 24 course prerequisites
The program is held at the Jerome Community Center during the following dates:
