Join us on Saturday, August 31st at El Salvador Park for a full day of culture as the City of Santa Ana's hosts its third annual Chicano Heritage Festival! Take pride in knowing that as of Tuesday, August 1, 2023 the City of Santa Ana officially presented a proclamation declaring the month of August as Chicano Heritage Month.

We invite everyone to come together as we celebrate the City's rich Mexican American history. Guests can look forward to emerging themselves in festivities for the Chicano community including food, carnival rides, arts, a kids zone, cultural exhibits, and much more. This celebration will be free, family-friendly, and open to all. There will be special components across the event such as, live musical performances, a car cruise and show, carnival rides, and guest speakers.

Car cruise

The 2023 car cruise is an exciting new element that will kick off the day and drive right in this year's Chicano Heritage Festival.  Car cruise will begin at 10:30 a.m., departing from Santa Ana College’s Parking Lot 7, 1530 W. 17th St.

The car cruise is now full. No additional cars can be accepted at this time.

Parking information

All road closures will begin promptly at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday , August 27.

Street parking will be limited due to street closures accommodating the event footprint. Additional parking will be available at Santa Ana College in the parking lot located on Washington Avenue and Bristol Street. El Salvador Park is located at 1825 W. Civic Center Drive in Santa Ana.

Shuttle services

Services will be available from the designated parking lot in Santa Ana College to the event at El Salvador Park from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The shuttles will have limited capacities and cannot accommodate large items like tents, chairs, or coolers.
