The Santa Ana and Southwest Senior Centers provide a variety of services and programs for the senior population. Registration is required prior to participating in the recreation, educational and fitness activities each senior center offers. The Senior Centers are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Both Senior Center will continue to offer the Meals on Wheels food programs. The Take Home Frozen Meal Service takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Registration is required. Seniors must be 60 years and older in order to participate in the meal service. The Emergency Shelf Stable Meals Service will also continue as funding allows. Seniors in need of additional food supplies can request them on the same day as the Take Home Frozen Meal service.
Food Bank Commodities Distribution takes place monthly and provides food assistance specially targeted at low income seniors. Registration required in order to receive a bag of non-perishable food items distributed on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Senior Mobility Program – Transportation Services
Seniors needing transportation from their homes to a senior center and back can register for this free service. The program operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In addition to the daily transportation service to and from the senior center, the Senior Mobility Program will also offer weekly shopping trips to local grocery and retail stores and eventually, it will resume offering mini fieldtrips and excursions to regional attractions.
