Pre-Approved ADU Plans

The Pre-Approved ADU Plans Program encourages the construction of ADUs by offering property owners a selection of Pre-Approved ADU building plans. While some site-specific design work is required, these pre-approved plans aim to help a property owner dramatically reduce pre-construction costs and improve permit approval efficiency.

The following resources have been created to assist you in the preparation of your Pre-Approved ADU plan submittal. The Pre-Approved ADU plans available are to be used for the development of a detached ADU.

Projects utilizing the Pre-Approved ADU plan sets must meet grading permit exemption requirements. Applicants utilizing the Pre-Approved ADU plan sets must submit a completed grading permit exemption packet along with their submittal.
