Boys basketball

Take your shot and make this season a slam dunk! Our boys basketball league encourages competition, dedication, and having fun. Participants will be able to play together, practice, and learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball.

2026 league dates and information

• Grades Pre-K to 8th 
• 8 game season, plus higher division (A,B,C) playoffs
• Registration fee is $43 per child (subject to change). Fee includes uniform and participation award.

Registration Process

• Register at Jerome Recreation Center, 726 S. Center St, Santa Ana 92704
• In-person registration dates and times:
  • October 13, 15, 20 & 22        5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • October 18 & 25                        10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
• Items required to register: birth certificate, proof of grade,  and check/money order for $43

Season details

• Skills evaluations will be held at Salgado Recreation Center starting at 6 p.m.:

  • C Division: 6 p.m.– Tuesday, October 28, 2025 (Grades 3 & 4)
  • B Division: 6 p.m. – Wednesday, October 29, 2025 (Grades 5 & 6)
  • A Division: 6 p.m. – Thursday, October 30, 2025 (Grades 7 & 8)
  • JR Mighty Mite & Mighty Mite Divisions do not have to attend the Skills Evaluations

• Practices begin December 15, 2025

  • Held twice a week at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
  • At Jerome Recreation Center and Salgado Recreation Center. Select dates may have games at Godinez High School gyms.

• Games begin Saturday January 3, 2026

  • Games held starting at 8 a.m.
  • At Jerome Recreation Center and Salgado Recreation Center. Select dates may have games at Godinez High School gyms.
