Celebrate our local Hispanic and Latino communities on September 13 - 14, 2025 at Santa Ana’s very own Fiestas Patrias! Open to all, the free weekend-long festivities include a parade and street fair, live music, carnival rides and more – all commemorating Mexican independence and celebrating the various Latin American communities that reside throughout Orange County.

El Grito de Independencia

Saturday, September 13, 2025

7 p.m.

On Saturday, September 13, the City of Santa Ana will host the ceremonial  El Grito de Independencia beginning at 7 p.m. on the festival's main stage. Mexico's official "El Grito" Ceremony is on September 15 and honors the traditional call to arms on the eve of Mexican Independence Day.  It is a synchronized call that dates back to 1810 and celebrates the anniversary of the fight for Mexican Independence.


Parade

Sunday September 14, 2025

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Experience the heart of Fiestas Patrias at the annual parade! Colorful floats, community groups, local schools, cultural organizations, and festive performances will make their way down Main Street in celebration of Mexican Independence and Latino heritage. Bring the whole family to enjoy the sights, sounds, and spirit of this beloved community tradition.

Atendees can enjoy a variety of beers and beverages in a lively outdoor setting at Plaza Calle Cuatro, located at E 4th Street and French Street. Guests must be 21 or older to enter. An admittance wristband is required and can be purchased on-site for $5. I.D. verification will take place at the entrance.
