Thanksgiving closure

The Santa Ana Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 24 through Saturday, November 26, 2022 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Library Service will resume on Monday, November 28, 2022.

La Biblioteca Pública de Santa Ana estará cerrada el jueves, 24 de noviembre hasta el sabado 26 de noviembre, 2022 en conmemoración del Día de Acción de Gracias. El servicio en la Biblioteca se reanudará el lunes, 28 de noviembre, 2022.

Thư Viện Santa Ana sẽ đóng cửa vào Thứ Năm, ngày 24 tháng 11 cho tới Thứ Bảy, 26 tháng 11, 2022 nhân dịp Lễ Tạ Ơn. Tất cả các dịch vụ của Thư Viện sẽ bắt đầu lại bình thường vào Thứ Hai, ngày 28 tháng 11, năm 2022.


Main Library expanded hours in 2023

The City of Santa Ana is excited to announce the Main Library will be expanding public service hours beginning January 9, 2023. The Main Library will be open 10 hours each day, Monday through Thursday, adding 8 additional hours every week. The expanded service schedule will provide both morning and evening hours for children, teens and adults of all ages greater flexibility to visit and enjoy their local public library. The Library Services Agency is focused on providing inclusive and equitable access to programs, books, technology and more. The expansion of hours will better meet the needs of the community with additional opportunities for new programs and services.

The Library’s new hours will be:

Main Library
Monday – Thursday | 10 am - 8 pm
Friday – Saturday | 10 am - 6 pm

Newhope Library
Monday & Wednesday | 12 pm – 8 pm
Tuesday, Thursday – Saturday | 10 am – 6 pm

SAPL Cardholders have 24-7 access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies and more through the ELibrary! Browse the selection of more than 40 digital resources from home or on the go.

Are you looking to learn more about technology? Whether it be making music, editing and sharing photos, or getting help with your devices, SAPL has several programs to help boost your tech confidence!

The Knowledge Mobile features free public WI-FI, computers, gaming, STEAM technologies and much more.

Loaded with more than 85 educational software titles spanning all STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Math) subject areas, AWE Tablets are now available for use at both Main and Newhope Libraries.

SAPL now has Chromebooks available for checkout at both Main and Newhope Libraries! Checkout a kit with a Chromebook, charger, carrying case, hotspot, mouse, and headphones. Or checkout a Chromebook with built in wireless internet. View available devices here.

 

 

 

Adaptive Technologyadaptive pc at newhope library

REVIVE-funded Adaptive Technology PC stations are now available at Main and Newhope Libraries. The stations  include adaptive computer hardware and software such as a keyboard with large key font and alternative input options including a trackball, a USB clicker, a trackpad (with gesture support) and the TrackerPro 2.
