On-The-Job Training

The Santa Ana WORK Center is proud to offer its On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, which helps employers by reimbursing up to 50% of a trainee’s hourly wage for up to 1,040 hours. Employers must provide participants with job opportunities that offer the knowledge and skills essential for successful job performance, along with appropriate guidance and supervision during the training period.

To qualify, the position must be full-time (at least 32 hours per week) and not seasonal or temporary. Employers are required to work with the SAWC to develop a customized training plan and must commit to retaining the employee upon successful completion of the program. Additionally, participating businesses must have been operating at their current location for at least 120 days and may not displace existing employees with OJT participants. Required documentation includes an active workers’ compensation policy, a current W-9, training plan details, and a description of the position to be filled.
