Recovery From the Pandemic

Mental Health Recovery - $800,000

  • This project will provide prioritized gang prevention and intervention services through the use and understanding of best practices, trauma-informed outreach, and care. Mental health and trauma care resources will be provided to youth and their families who have suffered or are suffering from trauma associated with gang violence. The core of the program shall be direct service delivery to high-risk youth ages 10-24. The program's focus is to provide a pathway to healing and to empower the community to reduce fears and concerns related to gang activity by proactively addressing issues associated with at-risk youths and strengthening the family unit; the foundation of the community.

Feasibility of Public Health Department - $200,000

  • Provides resources to conduct a feasibility study of establishing a Santa Ana public health department.

Expansion of Critical City Communications Methods - $ 2,000,000

  • Enhance the way the City communicates with residents! Part of this project includes adding digital marquees to several park sites in the City to bring more communications directly to our residents where they are most likely to see them.

Sanitization and Prevention - $4,500,000

  • Precautionary measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and variants, including cleaning bus shelters, power washing parks, and cleaning the right-of-way.

COVID Emergency Response - $950,000

  • Emergency response through the Orange County Fire Authority and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
