Same Day Express Permit Program

The  Planning and Building Agency offers Same Day Express Permit at our Permit Counters and Online.

What is a PBx - Express Permit?

Permits for residential and commercial projects that do not require plan check are issued as Same Day Express Permits.

Who Can Obtain An Express Permit?

Eligible properties include single-family homes, a townhome, a condominium, a duplex, or commercial property that is not new construction.

Historic properties on the historic register, historically "contributive properties," properties in the SD-19 and SD-40 zoning districts, and those in historic districts do not qualify. List of Same-Day Express Permits (No Plan Check Required)

  1. Interior remodel, such as kitchen and bathroom remodels and alterations that do not create new rooms such as bedrooms or bathrooms
  2. Replacement of existing exterior stucco or siding like-for-like
