The objective of this RFP is to select an experienced event production company that can assist the City in designing, planning, marketing, and executing the City’s first cannabis festival (and related future events) while maintaining sensitivity to the community and promoting Santa Ana-based businesses. This event is anticipated to attract approximately 10,000-20,000 attendees, in addition to staff and safety personnel. The selected event production company shall be responsible for the all of the event expenses and may derive a profit, contingent upon an approved budget by the City of Santa Ana. The City’s expectation is for the event production company’s submit a robust proposal in response to this RFP that will provide a clear plan of all the elements of the first cannabis festival (which may lead to a contract for subsequent cannabis events, should they be approved). The cannabis festival may be no more than a 2-day event in an area that avoids visibility of consumption to the general public and that will fulfill the objectives listed in Section I – Introduction.
