Temporary pump track comes to Centennial Park this summer

Posted on July 14, 2025

Get ready to ride! A temporary pump track is popping up at Centennial Park, 3000 W. Edinger Ave. (located near Skate Park), from Tuesday, July 15, 2025 through Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, grab your bike, skateboard, scooter, wheelchair or rollerblades and test your skills on this fun, rolling track.

A pump track is a continuous loop featuring rollers, banked turns, and other elements that allow riders to maintain momentum through body movement rather than pedaling. The track offers a safe and engaging space for riders of all skill levels to improve bike handling, enhance physical fitness, and enjoy outdoor activity.

Help us wrap up National Parks and Recreation Month and join us on Thursday, July 31 for a special RECREAuto Pop-Up event from 5 – 7 p.m.! Enjoy a fun afternoon with Recreation staff with crafts, games, and music, all while sharing the excitement of enjoying this cool, all wheels limited opportunity.

The Centennial Park temporary pump track is free, open to the public, and will be open daily from July 15 to August 13, dawn to dusk. The pump track is designated for non-motorized bicycles and scooters only. As a friendly reminder, please wear helmets and other safety gear. Park rules apply. Come ride the wave of excitement before it rolls away!

After visting the pump track fill out a quick survery and share your feedback with us! We’d love to hear what you think and how we can enhance the experience for everyone. The poll will be available from July 15 through August 29 at 5 p.m.
