SANTA ANA, Calif. – Orange County’s only Fiestas Patrias festival and parade will return to Downtown Santa Ana for its 45th year in a weekend-long tribute to the diverse heritage of Latino communities and the independence of Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
Santa Ana Fiestas Patrias 2025 will take place from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, on historic 4th Street, with a parade at 11 a.m. Sunday on Main Street. Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a wide range of family fun, including a street fair and vendors, free live music and entertainment, cultural exhibitors, carnival rides, a beer garden, and more. Headline performers on the main stage will be regional Mexican music stars Luis Coronel and Roberto Tapia on Saturday, with El Dasa and La Septima Banda on Sunday.
“The City of Santa Ana is proud to once again host this incredible celebration of our Mexican and Latino roots,” said Mayor Valerie Amezcua. “Come feel the energy in our historic downtown, enjoy amazing live music, explore our unique local shops and restaurants, and be part of a cultural experience you won’t forget!”
Fiestas Patrias refers to the national holidays in Mexico and other Latin American countries celebrating independence and national pride. In honor and observance of Mexico’s El Grito de Independencia (Spanish for “The Cry of Independence”), the event schedule will include an “El Grito” ceremony at 7 p.m. Saturday on the festival’s main stage.
The annual Fiestas Patrias Parade will take place Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning at Main Street and Washington Avenue, traveling south along Main Street to Santa Ana Boulevard, and ending right before the festival grounds. Families are invited to enjoy colorful floats, traditional music, folkloric dance and more as the City celebrates Mexico’s various states and other Latin American countries.
Additional activities at the 2025 Fiestas Patrias event include a Beer Garden at Plaza Calle Cuatro, located at East 4th Street and French Street. The Beer Garden will offer a selection of beers and other beverages in a lively outdoor area where attendees can relax. An admittance wristband is required, and entrants must be 21 years of age, or older.
Santa Ana Fiestas Patrias has partnered with a wide network of community-based organizations, corporations and professional sports franchises, including Title Level Partners the Anaheim Ducks, Disneyland Resort, Northgate Market, Project Kinship, and Telemundo 52. Many of these supporting partners will offer special activations throughout the festival grounds.
Guests who will be attending Santa Ana Fiestas Patrias are encouraged to plan their visit in advance. For updated event information, including parade route, street closures and parking information, please visit the Santa Ana Fiestas Patrias website.
