The City of Santa Ana Economic Development Division is accepting applications for grants of up to $5,000 for start-up microenterprises to reimburse eligible business expenses, such as rent. To qualify, businesses must have five (5) or fewer employees, including the owner(s); business owner income limits apply; the business must be within three years of start-up; and the business must be in compliance with all City permits and regulations.

This grant program is funded through the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City Council allocates $100,000 from CDBG annually to Economic Development for disbursement of these grants via the Annual Action Plan and through the Five Year Consolidated Plan.
