Help us name our new park at Bristol and Tolliver streets

Posted on June 27, 2025

Conceptual site plan for the Bristol-Tolliver Street Urban Greening Project in Santa Ana. The design spans from Tolliver Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School along Bristol Street. The plan includes: -A playground with a rubber surface and shade structures -A picnic area with benches and water fountains -A stormwater turf area with underground reuse system -Exercise equipment with rubber surfacing -Enhanced pavements, decorative fencing, and bioretention basins -Two proposed future elements: a linear skate park and a full-size basketball court, both pending budget approval -Landscaping includes raised berms, drought-tolerant plants, and buffer zones

The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency and Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency recently broke ground on a new 1.25-acre park at the intersection of Bristol and Tolliver streets. The park will feature drought-tolerant landscaping, pedestrian pathways, recreational spaces, and a basketball court. It will be the first City park to have a stormwater reuse and treatment system for irrigation.

We are now inviting the community to submit name ideas for this exciting new space. Have a suggestion? Submit it by July 2 and see if your name idea becomes a finalist. All submissions must follow specific criteria outlined in the Santa Ana Municipal Code.
