The City of Santa Ana’s Arts & Culture Office has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a Santa Ana-based organization to design and implement a pilot program for “Bridging the G.A.P. (Graffiti Arts Program),” a year-long interactive, multi-disciplinary public arts program that will inspire civic leadership and community pride in youth through the creation of murals across the city. A panel will review completed proposal submittals and award one organization. The total budget for this project is $50,000.

Over the course of 12 months, students will work alongside professional mural artists to learn different art techniques, research, design, and installation of public murals. In addition to developing their artistic skills, students will develop the interpersonal and professional skills needed to thrive outside the classroom. This pilot program will culminate with the installation of mural(s) on the top floor of the city-owned parking structure located on 420 N. Main Street.

The deadline for proposal submissions is Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 4 p.m. PST and must be submitted online via PlanetBids.com.

The application can be found here: https://pbsystem.planetbids.com/portal/20137/bo/bo-detail/103068.
