Trash and recycling collection resumes

On July 14, Republic Services resumed regular trash and recycling collection and is providing extra drivers and vehicles to empty carts that weren’t collected over the past week. Residents should leave trash and recycling carts at the curb until they have been serviced.  Read more

Major rainstorm forecast February 12-14; free sandbags available for residents and businesses

Be prepared for rain! The National Weather Service has forecast a major storm will hit Southern California beginning Wednesday, Feb. 12, through Friday, Feb. 14, with heavy rain, possible flooding and dangerous road conditions especially on Thursday.

The City of Santa Ana is offering free sandbags to residents and businesses. Up to 10 sandbags are available per Santa Ana residence or business location.

The self-service sandbag station location and hours:

  • City of Santa Ana Corporate Yard
  • 215 S. Center St., Santa Ana
  • 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekdays
