“Rickenbacker is the guitar maker that brought the electric 12-string to market and has since been responsible for establishing what a guitar should do let alone sound like. Rickenbacker guitars and basses have a unique sound and feel, with much narrower necks than Fender bass guitars, and a wide range of sounds. Some early users include Paul McCartney in The Beatles and Roger Waters in Pink Floyd. In homage to the creators of Rickenbacker guitars, we must acknowledge the large contribution and impact they have made in the music scene, from Rock and roll to Jazz they have impacted past, present and future generations. “The Rhythm of South Main” is a visual representation of the conglomeration of soul that was created from the hand-crafted guitars that came out of Santa Ana. My choice in color highlights the Santa Ana winds and the jacaranda trees that blow through the corridor. Carrying this rhythm all throughout Main street.” – Bud Herrera
