Free Bike Lights and Helmets during Lights Alive
4:00pm - 6:00pm
Join Santa Ana Active Streets (SAAS) on Thursday, February 15, 2024, between 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the corner of Harbor Boulevard and First Street to receive free bicycle lights and helmets during the Lights Alive or Luces Vivas event. Materials will be distributed until they run out, so please arrive in a timely manner to ensure you receive the items. The distribution of items is specifically located on intersections of the City with high collision rates for pedestrians and cyclists. To volunteer or for more information visit saascoalition.org/events or contact Maria Baeza at 714-202-7393, maria@saascoalition.org.
¡Luces Vivas! is an educational and night light distribution program intended to provide encouragement plus safety materials to residents of Santa Ana. Our goal is to seek out people riding or walking without lights and help them be more visible. To volunteer or for more information visit saascoalition.org/events or contact Maria Baeza at 714-202-7393, maria@saascoalition.org.
Santa Ana Active Streets is contracted by the City’s Public Works Traffic Engineering Division to host educational and interactive events around traffic safety. Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
