City of Santa Ana to light up Downtown for the holidays with annual Plaza Navideña on Saturday, November 22

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The City of Santa Ana is proud to announce the return of its annual Plaza Navideña celebration and tree lighting, marking the official start of the 2025 holiday season.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Plaza Calle Cuatro in Downtown Santa Ana. This community tradition brings residents and visitors together for a festive evening of cultural celebration, holiday spirit, and supporting local businesses in the heart of our city.

“I warmly invite Santa Ana residents and visitors to gather with us for this beloved holiday tradition,” Mayor Valerie Amezcua said. “Together, let’s share in the sparkle of the season and the joy of community as we kick off the holidays at Plaza Navideña.”

This free community event is open to all and includes:

  • Decorated 30-foot natural fir tree showcased with a tree lighting ceremony beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m.
  • Photo opportunities with Santa Claus
  • Community performers
  • Kids crafts

In addition to the event’s traditional elements, attendees can look forward to special participation from our Title Level Partners:

  • Anaheim Ducks will provide activities and prizes for all their Santa Ana fans.
  • Project Kinship, a local non-profit, will donate and coordinate a holiday crafts area.
  • Republic Services will be on site with their decorative truck ornamented with holiday lights inviting families for a memorable photo opportunity.
  • Tuscany Espresso and Coffee, a local business, will provide pastries and beverages for participants to enjoy.

Public parking is located at the parking garage at 5th and Spurgeon streets. Regular parking rates will apply, with the first hour being free. Limited meter parking will also be available throughout Downtown Santa Ana.
