The City of Santa Ana continues to invest in affordable housing for our residents.

On June 21, 2022, the City Council approved $5.2 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act housing funds for the development of WISEPlace to provide 47 units of permanent supportive housing at 1411 N. Broadway. The project will provide formerly homeless individuals with housing and services. The City of Santa Ana is one of only a handful of  jurisdictions across the country to have a plan approved to award these HOME-ARP funds.

At the same meeting, the City Council approved $4.6 million in loan agreements for the development of the 85-unit Crossroads at Washington affordable housing development in the 1100 block of East Washington Avenue. This follows the City Council approving $3.9 million in loans in May for the development of the 84-unit Westview House affordable housing project.
