City Council approves additional budget spending plan

Thanks to careful financial planning during the pandemic, the City of Santa Ana has an additional $42 million available in its budget for one-time spending. The City Council voted on Tuesday, Jan. 18, to spend some of this money on projects including:

  • Juneteenth Celebration and other City events
  • Tree trimming
  • Sidewalk, alley and traffic improvements
  • Graffiti removal
  • More library services
  • Streetlights
  • A pilot graffiti arts program
  • … and many more services for the Santa Ana community!
