Join us with a delightful afternoon of conversation with author Les Bird. Bird will discuss his internationally acclaimed book – Along the Southern Boundary: A Marine Police Officer’s Frontline Account of the Vietnamese Boatpeople and their Arrival in Hong Kong – which chronicles the history of the Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong. In addition, Bird will also tell harrowing stories of thousands of refugees in the years that followed the end of the Vietnam War. Along with the amazing stories of courage and survival, the book is also a collection beautiful photographs. Free copies of the book will be given out while supplies last.
