The City of Santa Ana Water Resources Division is pleased to announce its Water Conservation Poster Contest, an educational project open to all Santa Ana youth ages 5-18. Using the theme "Every Drop Counts: Let's Not Waste It," the contest is designed to inspire creativity while reinforce water conservation.

For the past 5 years, Santa Ana has grabbed the bronze, silver and gold, earning the distinction of producing the nation's best and highest quality tap water in 2014.

Santa Ana Declares Phase II Water Supply Shortage Emergency

The Santa Ana City Council approved amendments to the city's existing water conservation program and adopted a Stage II Water Supply Shortage at last night's City Council meeting, targeting a 12 percent citywide reduction in water usage through mandatory water use restrictions.

Santa Ana Wins the Gold

No, it wasn't at the winter Olympics. But the City of Santa Ana, winning the distinction of producing the nation's best and highest quality tap water was exciting news! The city received the gold award in the "Best Municipal Water" category at the 2014 Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Festival in February. 

 

Community Events

The Water Resources Division is very active in the community. From weekly farmer's markets and neighborhood association meetings to SOMOS and the Plaza Wellness 5K Run, our staff is on hand to pass out Santa Ana's award winning water, free giveaways as well as conservation flyers and other promotional items. Check back for a list of upcoming events where we will be participating and be sure to stop by our Water Resources Booth for a visit!
