On Thursday, May 4, 2023, the City of Santa Ana Public Works Engineering Team were presented two awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers, Orange County (ASCE OC) for the following projects:
Santa Ana Library Children’s Patio Project
Awarded 2022 Outstanding Historical Renovation Project
Civic Center Boulevards & Safe Routes to School Enhancements for Sepulveda Project
Award Outstanding Transportation Project Award
The Luckey Climber in the Santa Ana Library Children’s Patio is made of rotationally molded plastic climbing platforms that are suspended by steel pipes and cables and is as much of a work of art as it is a jungle gym. The Luckey Climber in the Children’s patio is one of only seven iconic climbers in Southern California and is 23’ tall. The project is decorated in the official City of Santa Ana colors: blue and gold.
The Civic Center Boulevards & Safe Routes to School Enhancements for Sepulveda project Project is the largest traffic circle corridor in the City of Santa Ana. This project was constructed during the pandemic and built under Community Workforce Agreement (CWA).
Congratulations to our Santa Ana Public Works Engineering Team in receiving these well-deserved awards for their outstanding work in making these projects happen.
