Santa Ana and Southwest Senior Centers

The City of Santa Ana’s two Senior Centers are now open!  Please adhere to the current CDC and state issued health and safety regulations while you enjoy a day at one of our senior centers and participate in the various activities they offer.  

 

The Santa Ana and Southwest Senior Centers are gradually adding programming at each location to serve our senior population.  Stop by your nearest center to register and begin participating in the recreation, educational and fitness activities it offers.

Both Senior Center will continue to offer the Meals on Wheels food programs.  The Take Home Frozen Meal Service takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 11:00am.  Registration is required. Seniors must be 60 years and older in order to participate in the meal service.  The Emergency Shelf Stable Meals Service will also continue as funding allows.  Seniors in need of additional food supplies can request them on the same day as the Take Home Frozen Meal service.

Food Bank Commodities Distribution takes place monthly and provides food assistance specially targeted  at low income seniors.  Registration required in order to receive a bag of non-perishable food items distributed on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00am to 10:00am.  

Senior Mobility Program is back on the road again

Seniors needing transportation from their homes to a senior center and back can register for this free service.  The program operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. In addition to the daily transportation service to and from the senior center, the Senior Mobility Program will also offer weekly shopping trips to local grocery and retail stores and eventually, it will resume offering mini fieldtrips and excursions to regional attractions.  For more information on the Senior Mobility Program, please call (714) 571-4230.

Food Bank Commodities Distribution takes place monthly and provides food assistance specially targeted  at low income seniors.  Registration required in order to receive a bag of non-perishable food items distributed on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00am to 10:00am.
