Federal Residential Eviction Moratorium Extended through July 31, 2021

Date: June, 24 2021 Category: Community Development, WORK Center, COVID-19, Notification

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has signed an extension to the federal moratorium on residential evictions, further preventing the eviction of tenants who are unable to make rental payments. The moratorium that was scheduled to expire on June 30, 2021, is now extended through July 31, 2021. This is intended to be the final extension of the moratorium.

The City of Santa Ana's eviction moratorium has already expired and the City is following the State and Federal eviction moratoriums. The State moratorium is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2021.

To receive federal eviction protections, tenants must fill out and sign a declaration form, which should be given to your landlord or property management company. The form can be found at the link below.
