Project Description
- One of the implementation actions of the Harbor Mixed Use Transit Corridor Specific Plan is the creation of a streetscape plan for Harbor Boulevard. A streetscape plan is a guiding document that establishes specific public right-of-way enhancements such as bike lanes, lighting, pedestrian lighting, street furniture, and landscaping for a specified area. It outlines the framework for the improvements of the public realm/right-of-way.
- For Harbor Boulevard, this streetscape plan will promote the pedestrian and bike oriented environment that was intended by the specific plan. As transit opportunities are implemented along the corridor and redevelopment occurs, the streetscape plan will regulate the supporting features that activate the corridor.
- As part of a Sustainability Grant from Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the City selected MIG to prepare the streetscape plan. Links to the draft document are provided below.
