The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is a summarization of the City’s financial activity for its fiscal year. The annual fiscal year for the City of Santa Ana begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year. The City of Santa Ana provides a full range of municipal services, including police and fire protection; the construction and maintenance of streets and other infrastructure; recreational activities and cultural events.
The City of Santa Ana is also financially accountable for three legally separate entities: The Successor Agency to the Santa Ana Redevelopment Agency, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana, and the Santa Ana Financing Authority.
The CAFR is prepared by December of each year.
