Category: Parks and Recreation
THE 2020 FIESTAS PATRIAS HAS BEEN CANCELED IN ACCORDANCE WITH PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES FOR COVID-19.
The City of Santa Ana’s annual Fiestas Patrias Festival and Parade is an annual celebration of Santa Ana’s vibrant Mexican culture and traditions. With A-list performers each night, delicious food, affordable shopping, interactive activities, and fun carnival rides for children of all ages, this free event is like no other in Orange County! Along with the festivities, the City in partnership with the Consulate of Mexico hosts the “El Grito Ceremony” on Saturday, honoring the historical call for arms that took place on the eve of Mexican Independence Day.
On Sunday, the celebration continues with the City’s annual Fiestas Patrias parade which is composed of over 100 entries including marching bands, dance groups, floats, and equestrian groups.
