The California Eviction Moratorium ended on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Beginning October 1, 2021, your landlord must confirm that you have applied for rental assistance before they can try to evict you through the courts for failing to pay your rent. There is no deadline to apply for rental assistance.

  • If you are a landlord and want to check the status of your application with the State of California, you may call: 833-430-2122

  • If you are a landlord, tenant, or a member of the Orange County Court and would like to check the status of a tenant application, you may call: 714-667-2219  or email ERA@santa-ana.org

    If a person is not available when you call, please leave a voicemail and a call will be returned to you within no more than 24 hours or on Monday if it is the weekend.
