Housing Authority - EHV

Santa Ana Housing Authority (SAHA) has begun administering new Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) as approved by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). SAHA is pleased to announce that it will administer 89 Emergency Housing Vouchers from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

In order to be eligible for an EHV, an individual or family must meet one of the four eligibility categories:

  1. Homeless
  2. At the risk of homelessness
  3. Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking; or
  4. Recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family's homelessness or having a high risk of housing instability.

SAHA has partnered with the Orange County Continuum of Care (CoC) to ensure that EHVs are being administered to the target individuals or families.

SAHA will assist qualifying families through a direct referral process referred by the CoC.

If you have any questions on how you may qualify for an EHV, please contact 2-1-1.
