Registration is now open through February 21, 2024.
The City of Santa Ana has been included in the State of California’s Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) grant program for the first time. As part of the program, residents with homes built before 1980 may be eligible to receive up to $3,000 toward a seismic retrofit through the program. Also EBB is now offering EBB Supplemental Grants for additional funding above the $3,000 EBB grant to help income-eligible homeowners complete a brace + bolt retrofit.
Homeowners could be eligible to receive this grant if they:
- Own and live in the house in zip codes 92701, 92703, 92704, 92705, 92706, or 92707
- Own a home that was built before 1980
- Have a house with a raised foundation or crawl space under the house
- Have not already completed a “brace and bolt” earthquake retrofit
Qualifying homeowners are selected through a random drawing and are then notified if they have been selected, or have been placed on the waiting list. Registration is only open for a limited period of time once per year, so eligible homeowners are encouraged to register soon.
