City of Santa Ana parks are open for public use and most park amenities have reopened.
People may still go outside to exercise, but should wear face masks, avoid gathering in groups, and should practice social distancing, as required by the State and County health agencies. For additional information on the state wide safety regulations, please visit: https://covid19.ca.gov/
What's Open
Park amenities were closed in March due to COVID-19, but the following amenities are now open for the public to enjoy:
- Playgrounds
- Fitness Zones
- Parking lots
- Restrooms
- Park open space/grass areas for general recreation and fitness activities
- Sport fields by permit only for youth sports practices
- Outdoor basketball and volleyball courts for walkup play only
- Handball courts for walkup play only
- Centennial and Mariposa Skate Parks
- Centennial and Thornton Park Lakes
- Lawn bowling greens while adhering to social distancing guidelines
- Film permits
What's Closed
In accordance with the State mandate, the following amenities remain closed until further notice:
- Zoo
- Picnic shelters/tables
- Community Recreation centers
- Senior centers
- Community Gardens
- Project PRIDE
- Archery range is currently under construction
- Swimming pools
- Special events

Athletic Fields
City Staff coordinates the reservation process of all athletic fields in the City of Santa Ana. These fields are used by many Santa Ana youth and adult sports organizations and private reservations from the public for various athletic events.

Selected Indoor Facilities
Staff at the Reservation Desk also manages reservations for the Santiago Park Cabin and Fisher Park Cabin. These facilities are reserved for events such as meetings, birthday parties, baby/wedding showers, banquets, etc. For more information and to check availability of these facilities please contact:

For field reservations: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
For Cabin and all other reservations: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 1:00pm
