
In May 2019, the city created the Santa Ana 2020 Census Complete Count Committee (CCC). To this date, the CCC includes twenty-eight member organizations. The CCC consists of representatives from city departments, government agencies, hard-to-count communities, CBO’s, school districts, colleges, faith-based organizations, social services, and media.
Goals for the CCC include:
- Educate residents on the Census, including its purpose
- Identify hard-to-count populations in the community
- Develop best strategies for Census outreach
- Reduce fear and distrust of government
- Ensure the public that the Census is confidential and should be trusted
- Motivate hard-to-count populations to participate in the Census
- Reduce barriers for hard-to-count populations to participate in the Census
