Santa Ana College

Santa Ana College (SAC) School of Continuing Education has a long history of partnering and leveraging resources with the Santa Ana WORK Center.  Services provided by the college include outreach and information about basic skills and employment training classes.  WORK Center customers also have the opportunity to strengthen their basic skills in computers, reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics, or complete a high school diploma or GED in the Adult Basic Education program.

Employment Development Department

One of our most valuable and long-standing partners, the Employment Development Department (EDD) provides adult and youth customers, as well as employers, access to a wide range of employment resources, services, and opportunities.

  • Job Services

Employers with internet access can enter their own job listings directly into the internet-based automated system (CalJOBS) and can search, screen, and select employees from a database of resumes.  Employers can also update or close their listings at any time.

Job seekers can view a wide variety of job listings located within their own community or anywhere in the state.  Online job searches and online resume posting for job seekers through the CalJOBS website is also available.

  • Unemployment Insurance Program

Commonly referred to as UI, this program provides unemployment insurance payments for workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own.

  • Veteran Employment Assistance Program

Veterans receive priority in job referrals, training referrals, and the provision of other employment-related services.  EDD veteran program staff is responsible for providing one-on-one employment assistance services to eligible U.S. veterans, as well as access to job search workshops, resume writing, CalJOBS registration, and referrals to other agencies.

  • Greater LA Area Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department

GLAD provides sign language/oral interpreting services, advocacy, peer counseling, independent living skills, and community education. In Orange County, GLAD is under contract by EDD to provide services in Santa Ana and Anaheim.

Goodwill Industries of O.C.

Department of Rehabilitation

A valuable resource for Californians with disabilities and California employers, the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) offers a variety of services for both individuals with disabilities and employers looking to hire qualified candidates with disabilities. DOR services are tailored to help individuals reach their employment goal. Individuals with disabilities and rehabilitation counselors' work together to determine which services will provide the best support to prepare for, find, or retain a job.
