Santa Ana and Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Project
Where Would it Go?
The Santa Ana and Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Corridor area is proposed to travel between SARTC and a new transit center in Garden Grove, near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Westminster Avenue. Several alignment alternatives, or travel paths, between these two points are being studied. All fall within the area bounded by Harbor Boulevard (western boundary), Grand Street (eastern boundary), 1st Street (southern boundary), and Westminster Avenue/17th Street (northern boundary).

Four possible east-west routes (alignments) are currently being studied to connect residents and commuters with key activity centers between Santa Ana to Garden Grove, including:
Alignment 1: The proposed route would start at SARTC, and would generally travel along Santiago Street, Civic Center Drive, Bristol and Santa Ana Boulevard before connecting to the Pacific Electric Right of Way (PE ROW) at Raitt Street and and concluding at Harbor Boulevard.
Alignment 2: The proposed route would start at SARTC, and would generally travel along Santa Ana Boulevard and 5th Street before connecting to the PE ROW at Raitt Street and concluding at Harbor Boulevard.
Alignment 3: The proposed route would start at SARTC, and would generally travel along 6th Street, Santa Ana Boulevard and 5th Street before connecting to the PE ROW at Raitt Street, and concluding at Harbor Boulevard.
Alignment 4: The proposed route would start at SARTC, and would generally travel along 4th Street and Santa Ana Boulevard before connecting to the PE ROW at Raitt Street, and concluding at Harbor Boulevard.
