Project Study Timeline with Opportunities for Public Involvement
Over the next several months, the cities of Santa Ana and Garden Grove will prepare environmental and conceptual engineering studies to identify in detail the benefits and impacts of various technology and alignment options. During scoping, stakeholders are invited to provide official comment as to what they would like to see studied. It is anticipated that a locally preferred alternative will be selected in Fall 2011. The draft environmental document is scheduled to be released in Summer 2011.
Project Funding
The Santa Ana Garden Grove Fixed Guideway Study is funded by the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Go Local Program, which allocates funds for cities to improve connectivity to the Metrolink commuter rail system.
