Santa Ana Pet of the Week

This week’s featured Pet of the Week is “Spirit” a one year old, neutered male, white, Small Standard Poodle, ID# A0991042. "Spirit" is an awesome Poodle with a loving and fun personality! He is very smart and loves to train and learn new things. He is also sweet and loving but would most probably be best suited for a home with someone who wants a loving dog with a young at heart attitude. Spirit does not have a typical Poodle personality. Rather than being aloof and leery, he is fun-loving and more like a loving Lab. For more information on “Freckles” please email The PAW Program at acfl09@yahoo.com or call (714) 505-9235.

The PAW Program is a cooperative partnership between OC Animal Care and youth correctional facilities. The goal of this partnership is to improve the lives of at-risk youth and shelter dogs. The dogs in this program are both potty and crate trained and have learned their basic manners and obedience skills from a select group of juvenile offenders. In return, the dogs teach the at-risk youth responsibility, respect and the rewards of unconditional love. All the dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. For more information on this program, please email The PAW Program at acfl09@yahoo.com or call (714) 505-9235.

Last week’s Pet of the Week “Sam” is enjoying her forever home!

Pet of the Week

California law requires that all adopted dogs and cats be spayed or neutered before leaving our Animal Care Center. The animals featured on our web page are available for adoption on first come first serve basis. We do not guarantee that animals seen on our web page will be available to adopt when you arrive at the Animal Care Center. Animal Care Services does not reserve animals for adoption by telephone or e-mail. You must come to the Center to adopt an animal and refer to the animal's Pet Identification number when inquiring about a particular pet.
