Welcome to the Santa Ana Police Department Online Tip Reporting System

The Santa Ana Police Department values working with Santa Ana's diverse communities to ensure the safety and security of our neighborhoods.

If you've witnessed any kind of suspicious or criminal activity in the City of Santa Ana, please submit the following online form to the Santa Ana Police Department.

Your information – name and contact information – is not required. Please be sure to fill out all other fields and give as much detail as possible. That way, we can follow up on the matter as quickly and effectively as possible and provide a safer and more secure City of Santa Ana.

Using this system allows you to submit an anonymous tip immediately.

The Santa Ana Police Department Online Tip Reporting System allows you to submit information reference the following incidents:

• Commend a Santa Ana Police Employee
  • Observation of an employee performing their duties in a manner you think is exceptional
  • Example: Employee who performs above the usual manner expected
• Abandoned Vehicle Notification
  • Vehicle which appears to be abandoned
  • Example: Vehicle or motorcycle left abandoned for an unusual period of time
• Animal Abuse Tip
  • Animal cruelty, abuse, unsanitary conditions or abandoned animals
  • Example: Person viewed physically abusing an animal or housing it poorly
• Child Neglect Tip
  • Child(ren) left unattended on a regular basis
  • Example: Neighbor is known to often leave a small child home alone
• Drug Activity Tip
  • Possible drug dealing
  • Example: Suspect(s) appear to be dealing drugs
• Gang Activity Tip
  • Information about gang activity
  • Example: Gang members routinely loitering and congregating
• Graffiti / Vandalism Tip
  • Information about individual(s) involved in graffiti / tagging
  • Example: Possible Tagger spotted in area of graffiti or person is known who tags
• Homicide / Murder Tip
  • Information which will assist in solving a murder, or an attempted murder
  • Example: Gang members overheard discussing a murder
• Suspicious Activity Tip, Other
  • Suspicious Activity other than those listed
  • Example: Strange person lurking in neighborhood, solicitors seeming to scam neighbors
• Traffic Enforcement Request
  • Request for traffic enforcement in a specific area or neighborhood
  • Example: Vehicles are speeding in your neighborhood

After completing the necessary information you will receive an actual identifier for your "tip" and you will be able to print the report for your records. Please keep your report number for your records.

All tips filed online will be reviewed. Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, and you have left contact information, you may be contacted.

Do Not use this online reporting system to report:

• Any in progress crimes
