The Santa Ana Volunteers for Excellence (SAVE) Program volunteers assist in a variety of areas throughout the department.

Homicide, Sexual Assault, Missing Persons, Traffic, Jail Administration, Records, and Animal Control sections have all benefited greatly from the volunteers' service.  They perform tasks in the office, as well as work public counters, which allow police personnel more time to devote to tasks of higher priority.  Our SAVE Volunteers contribute over 3,500 hours of dedicated service to the department each year.  Since the inception of the program in 1995, these volunteers have donated over 25,000 hours to the police department.
