The Santa Ana Jail is pleased to host a full range of alternatives to traditional incarceration.  Our offerings include weekends in jail, non-linear jail sentences, and a variety of work release options.  Our philosophy is designed to allow our clients to serve their obligations to the court in a manner that respects them as human beings and permits them to continue to provide for themselves and their families.

The Santa Ana Jail is a Bureau of the Santa Ana Police Department, and every staff member is a City employee.  Clients of the Santa Ana Jail need not worry about untrained or inexperienced staff.  We do not employ contract labor for detention staff.  Every member of the SAJ team is a trained, full-time correctional professional.

Medical Concerns

The Santa Ana Jail has 24-hour on-site medical staff and can dispense most medications.  This allows us to accommodate clients with a variety of minor medical conditions.

Out of Area Sentences

We have helped clients with sentences from other counties as well other states.

Living Conditions

The Santa Ana Jail is the most modern and comfortable facility in the region.  Our housing areas are a world away from cement and steel bars.  Each of our clients has a name and is afforded the treatment and respect that they are due as people.

Streamlined Application

Most clients can be approved immediately, over the phone.  We can also provide same-day acceptance letters for the court.

Program Fees

Our program fees are virtually the same as elsewhere, and we never add application or processing fees.

If you would like to learn more about participating in one of our programs, the following information will assist our staff in evaluating your situation.

• Court Information:  Name of Court, Judge and Case Number.

• Charges:  All charges involved with the case.

• Medical Information:  Names of medications and dosages.  Any other pertinent medical information.

• Employment Information:  Name and Location of employer, work schedule.
