Project Description:

AMCAL Housing proposes to develop 64 affordable rental housing units on a 2.15-acre site that currently contains a four-story office building and surface parking areas. The project proposes 34 three-bedroom units and 30 two-bedroom units, as well as on-site surface parking and carports tucked under the buildings (112 parking spaces total), on-site resident amenities, open space, and a laundry facility. The property is currently zoned General Commercial (C-2) and has a General Plan land use designation of General Commercial (GC); the project requires approval of a General Plan amendment and establishment of a specific development (SD) zone.
