Current Planning serves as the primary contact with developers, business persons, and individuals proposing new development in the city.  This section processes discretionary applications and reviews development plans.

Site Plan Review

Nearly all discretionary applications or new development projects will begin with the Site Plan Review process.  Site Plan Review entails the review of project submittals for consistency with City standards and codes.  Please note that all items on the Site Plan Submittal Checklist must be included in the submtital package prior to case planner submittal.  To make a submittal to a case planner, call the Planning Division at (714) 667-2700 for an appointment. The proposed project will be reviewed and the applicant will receive a list of comments, potential conditions of approval, and a preliminary staff recommendation.
