100 Days Seminars Making a Difference for Santa Ana Businesses
Lidia Beltran, a former IRS revenue agent who now helps her clients solve tax problems, was looking for ways to better market her services and organize her business.
She found it through a free seminar offered by the City of Santa Ana and OPIS Network, a business consulting firm.
Beltran is among 85 “students” enrolled in a three-month long business improvement program called Helping 100 Businesses For 100 Days.
The training, which consists of three live classes and six teleseminars, is free to participants.
Beltran said the program has been a real eye opener for her.
"It’s like looking in a mirror," said Beltran, who has an office on 17th Street in Santa Ana. "You can see a reflection of what you might be doing wrong."
The seminar is just what Beltran said she needs to get her business back on track and growing.
"I think this is a very good program that allows people to get going in the right direction," she said. "And it’s not just theory – you have to do the work."
More than 80 businesspeople are taking advantage of a pioneering program offered by the City of Santa Ana to help businesses refocus, reinvent and reinvigorate themselves in a tough economy.
"We are very pleased with the turnout to the introductory workshop and the number of companies that are taking part on the 100 Day program," said Mayor Miguel Pulido. "It’s also gratifying to hear that this free program is making a difference for our local business community."
