The digitization project responds to the need to preserve the Library's rich photographic collection which documents the history of Santa Ana and Orange County.
Through this project, the treasures of the local history collection, including images of the community pioneers from Santa Ana Founding Father William Spurgeon to the city's first Hispanic mayor, Miguel Pulido, are accessible.
The collection is maintained in the Santa Ana History Room and patrons can access and print over 2,000 images onsite.
