Santa Ana Public Library's purpose is to respond to our community's informational, educational, and personal interest needs using books, materials, technology, and professional expertise.

Santa Ana Public Library serves the needs of Santa Ana residents first and foremost. Santa Ana is one of the 100 largest cities in the United States and its residents have the youngest median age in that group of cities. The Library emphasizes services to children and their families.

Santa Ana’s Library staff reflects the cultural heritage of the community and each staff member tries to provide the highest level of customer service. The two Library locations are maintained as safe and wholesome places for children and their families to spend out of school and leisure time.

Search for books, CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks in our collection. In addition, Santa Ana Public Library cardholders can search for full-text information online in eBooks, newspapers, magazines and reference works.

Santa Ana History Room

The Santa Ana History Room provides the citizens of Santa Ana with information about the history of the City, County, and State in which they live, and encourages the interest of the City’s youth in that history.

Passport Services

The Santa Ana Public Library is approved by the U.S. State Department to operate as a Passport Application Acceptance Agency.

You may receive assistance from a librarian from any of our participating libraries in California or other U.S. libraries. This makes it possible for us to offer you assistance 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Online Book Clubs

Join our Book Clubs. Each day we'll email you a 5-minute portion of a book. During the week you can read 2-3 chapters and decide if you want to check the book out of the library. .
